Robbie Horgan has completed his squad ahead of Drogheda’s first competitive game of the 2014 season against Shamrock Rovers tomorrow night in Tallaght stadium.

24 year old defender Ciarán McGuigan is the eighteenth player to join the Drogs for 2014.

Newry native McGuigan began his career with Glenavon in the IFA Premiership in 2007 before moving to Armagh City and then Dundalk. Most recently he played with Syrianska in Sweden.

Robbie Horgan said “The addition of Ciarán gives me choices at centre-back and I was impressed by him during our recent friendlies. I think we can look forward to seeing a lot more from him.”

Drogheda’s Leinster Senior Cup 1st round match against Shamrock Rovers has a kick-off time of 7:45pm tomorrow night.
