Drogheda United are delighted to announce that an official club calendar for 2015 will go on sale this Tuesday.
The full-colour calendar will feature some of the greatest players to ever don the Claret and Blue, names such as: Andy Myler, Graham Gartland, Brian Shelley. Gel Martin. Simon Webb, Guy Bates, Fabio, Dusty Flanagan, Dan Connor, Gary O’Neill and Mick Daly to name only a few.
The central role the club plays in the local community will also be represented through the huge number of half-time teams who play in United Park each year, along with the club’s strong links with Turkish club Trabzonspor, the club scholarship with DKIT, the Ultras and the links with Drogheda Boys and Glebe North FC.
Sponsorship has already been secured to cover all printing costs (local companies sponsored each month of the calendar) so that every cent will go directly to the club. If the calendar is well supported, it stands to raise between €6,000 and €9,000 which will go entirely towards the running costs of the club.
Calendars will be available from Tuesday 16th December and will cost €10 each. There will be discounts available with underage clubs as well as at the Drogs shop in Scotch Hall with two calendars for €18 and three for €24. Our club website, www.droghedaunited.ie, will also sell the calendars at a price of €12.
Drogheda United would like to thank the sponsors who have generously supported the club in this endeavour. The sponsors for the calendars are as follows:
