The Drogs continued on their winning ways on Saturday on the artificial pitch at Monaghan when they came home with a good three points in a tough and physical match.
Drogheda took the lead after 15 minutes when striker Stephen Meaney scored from a penalty and they added to this lead a on 25 minutes through Mark Doyle, who finished off a good Emmet Carolan/Eoin Broughan move with a great header.
However the home side struck back five minutes later to reduce the deficit and equalised with a great strike on 35 minutes.
The sides went in 2-2 at half time, but with a few judicious substitutions in the second, the Drogs hit the decisive winning score on 65 minutes when Brian Cabraley finished off a great move.
