Mark began his career with Colchester United in 1986 before moving onto Charlton Athletic a decade later. He became a firm fan favourite over the next six years at the Valley as he helped them become an established Premier League side.
He moved onto Aston Villa in 2002 where injuries restricted him to just 21 league appearances across two seasons. A one year stay at West Brom followed before he joined Walsall where he was eventually made caretaker manager.
Mark has served as the assistant manager at both Charlton Athletic and Colchester United while he has managed non-league sides Daventry Town as well as serving on the coaching staff of Histon.
Mark represented Ireland 48 times, scoring three goals as well as playing in the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan.
He was appointed Drogheda United caretaker manager in August 2015 having joined the club at the start of the season as first team coach.
