Adam joined Drogheda United in 2014 following his release from Derby County. He made six appearances for the club as they finished ninth in the Premier Division.
The following season, Adam joined Bohemians under Keith Long. He never made a league appearance for Bohs but was on the bench several times before he left the club in July 2015 and joined Bray Wanderers under Mick Cooke.
Adam ended the 2015 season with seven league appearances for Bray but he left the club in the search for first team football and rejoined Drogheda under Pete Mahon in January 2016.
A persistent back injury restricted the talented winger to only 21 appearances in all competitions as he scored three times, including the winner on the final night of the regular season to seal Drogheda’s play-off spot.
With the Boynesiders back in the Premier Division, Adam re-signed for the club in December 2016.
