Marc joined the Dundalk youth team from local side Muirhevnamor in 2008 before enjoying a breakout season in the first-team in 2011 where he scored eight times in 21 appearances and then five goals in 17 games the following season as he helped the Lilywhites avoid relegation via the play-offs.
The striker joined Derry City in 2013 though he saw his appearances limited at the Brandywell as he netted three times in 12 starts before returning to Dundalk in 2014 where he was a part of the title-winning side.
Injury restricted the 25-year-old to just 10 appearances in the league last season as he scored twice including an 87th minute winner for the Gypsies at United Park back in April.
Marc missed the opening few games of the season as he continued his recovery from a cruciate knee ligament injury before making his debut as a substitute against Athlone Town. He scored his first goal for the Boynesiders in a 3-3 thriller with Limerick at United Park and he would go on to net against Athlone, UCD and Cobh Ramblers as the Drogs secured promotion via the play-offs.
Marc re-signed for Drogheda in November 2016.
